You forgot to mention that a lark's head knot reduces the strength of your line by half. For example, if the line is rated for 1 tonne, after tying a lark's head knot, it will be rated for 500 kg.

All these knots are really easy until you try on a four pound trout line

That is a slipped spar hitch. When applied to a bag, the name changes to a bag knot.

This not can only be used where you can untie it with a knife..... result to cutting into your product...... socks in this case

butcher's knot is only good for meat because you got to use a knife to untie it....

The one fatal flaw with this loop knot (IMO), and I have practiced it, is that it's hard to control the size of the loop. Specifically, it's hard to create a very small loop with this method. Other loop knots are easier to tie and to manage.

Don't get me wrong, better late than never, and YT is a great source for that kinda stuff, just wondering about how our society has grown with so many broken homes and how so many of us missed a lot of basic stuff not having fathers around.

Seems an unnecessarily convoluted way to tie it. Just make a bend, run the end around it, then through the loops (as in the diagram)

Thanks for your video. I broke my middle finger 2 weeks ago & the doctors wanted to cut off my wedding ring yesterday. I tried your trick, with string & some olive oil for lubricant, as my finger was really swollen. my finger nearly dropped off, but so did the ring! thanks again 😁
